Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization is a manual and rehabilitative approach to optimize the movement system based upon the scientific principles of developmental Kinesiology. DNS is rapidly gaining attention and acceptance in the sports rehabilitation and performance arena for both the recovery from musculoskeletal overuse injuries and in injury prevention. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization demonstrates applications in rehabilitation, recovery from overuse injuries, and role in return to athletic performance. A key premise of the DNS approach is that every joint position depends on stabilizing muscle function and coordination of both the local and distant muscles in order to ensure neutral or centered position of joints in the kinetic chain.
Muscle Manual Therapy is used to treat and relieve pain associated with dysfunctions of soft-tissue injuries. Soft tissue refers primarily to muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, and nerves.
